This home had 10’ ceilings, elaborate cable rail hand rails inside and out, full security with cameras, sound and telecom center.

From the bidding of the job through the final of the completed project Bob was a true professional who took great pride and detail in his work. He was always accessible if we had any questions. He cam over on several Saturday's and Sunday's to answer questions my wife and I had about changes we wanted to make from the original plan.

Bob and his crew (assistants and sub-contractors) were always on time an did outstanding work. At the end of the day, Bob made sure that the construction area was safe and secure since we lived in or home through the remodel with our two young children. Honesty and integrity are two words that come to mind when I think about the characteristics that made Bob and his work stand out from previous contractors we have dealt with. He is a true professional that has experience and expertise. His bid was not the lowest nor was it the highest for the work he did for us. However, when the work was completed, I felt as though we had gotten more than our money's worth.

Mr. Loudemilk has outstanding communication skills when explaining that work that needs to be done. Not once were we ever misinformed or told something was done after the fact. My wife or I always received a calls prior to any suggestions or issues that came up during the job.

Bedroom, Bathroom & Walk-In Closet Addition/Remodel

Dear Homeowners:

My wife Ana and I are extremely please by the work Bob Loudemilk undertook on our home. I know from both personal experience (various projects on our former home in Berkeley, and some experience representing clients in construction litigation) that his is the rare company that not only does excellent work, but does it according to schedule!

We added a large study (or, forth bedroom), third bath and walk-in closet. This proved the right to to remodel the kitchen and original two baths, as well. The kitchen and two of the baths (see bathroom remodeling) are now graced with gorgeous cherry cabinets. All three baths have new sinks and baths (the third, most convenient from the pool, having a large shower). The locally produced Granitex bath surrounds complement the impact of solid Chinese granite kitchen counters that we bought in Oakland at a great price from the company, it turned out, on which Bob's fabricator often relies.

With vastly improved lighting, French doors to provide a sound barrier between the kitchen and living room, a Buck wood burning fireplace insert, and Brazilian rosewood engineered flooring, all expertly installed, we feel like we have a whole new home. If you are considering Loudermilk for similar construction, arrange with Bob to visit our home and see for yourself.

All construction projects, and especially remodels, involve a progression of decisions, both structural and esthetic. Bob worked closely with us on all of these decisions, was fair in adding the costs of changes we ordered, and kept us in the loop at all times. The ordeal of relocating most of our possessions a couple of times was made much more tolerable by Bob's careful scheduling and thorough communication.

Room Addition - Living Room Remodel

To Prospective Clients of Loudermilk Construction:

My wife and I hired Loudermilk Construction to enlarge our living room an we are are extremely happy with the results. The construction of our living room addition encountered two circumstances which could have resulted in problems but resolved without much difficulty.

In one situation, Bob Loudermilk's crew was able to identify a serious problem that my Structural Engineer had overlooked. The support beam was not strong enough to support the weight of the roof. Our supporting beam was deflecting (sagging) which would have resulted in a cascade of other problems if it had not been corrected. This issue was immediately identified and promptly fixed.

In another situation there was a complication due to the manufacturer changing the product specifications. Due to Bob's diligence and the integrity of his sub-contractor this issue was also resolved.

To summarize, our construction did not go exactly as planned, however we always felt comfortable knowing that Bob would resolve any problem we encountered. He was approachable and always provided good suggestions. My wife felt comfortable taking with him and he always addressed her concerns.
